Honeysuckle Hack with Manchester Parks

Description

Honeysuckle Hack

Did you know that bush honeysuckle is an invasive species that has been taking over Missouri woodlands, strangling our native plants? Help us reclaim our parks (our game board!) by hacking honeysuckle!

We will be removing bush honeysuckle from Schroeder Park in the City of Manchester.  (Note that it is possible that we may be offered the possibility of removing honeysukle at other parks in the City of Manchester if there is a large group, but the intent is to work within Schroeder).  Park staff will provide gloves, tools, and instruction as we restore our parks. Donuts and drinks will be provided at the start of the clean-up, courtesy of Manchester Parks, Recreation, and Arts.  This event is in conjunction with the City of Manchester, so not all attendees will be geocachers. The Manchester Parks, Recreation and Arts representative collaborating with us for this event is Rebecca Pate.

This is a family-friendly event, although children should be supervised by a responsible adult.

Please log your Will Attend in advance of the event date so I can let Manchester know how many of us to expect.  Late Will Attends and walk ins may be accommodated, but it is easier for the Parks staff to have a head count several days before the event.
