Special Delivery: World Postcard Day 2026 SW STL Edition

Long before geocaching built an entire community, the mailbox was another way to discover the world and connect with others.

Geocaching and postcards both unite humans through shared experiences and turn ordinary places into meaningful destinations. Whether you sign a log sheet or a postcard, you’re connecting with someone through the joy of discovery.

Observed every year on October 1, World Postcard Day celebrates the very first postcard, innovating the world forever. Since 2019, the day encourages people worldwide to write, mail, and exchange postcards to spread joy, connect with others, and celebrate the tradition of handwritten mail.

The mailbox isn’t the only place to find something special during the World Postcard Day season. Earn the World Postcard Day 2026 souvenir by attending any event and posting an Attended log from September 27 to October 4, 2026.

So, start your day off right with a coffee (or beverage of your choice) breakfast or a snack, and this quick Event to earn your "World Postcard Day Souvenir" 

There is no cost to attend and no purchase necessary. Everyone is of course welcome and everyone is responsible for their own food/drinks tab if you choose to eat or drink.
