SW STL Happy Hour - 'Ruination Day' Edition
Description
April 15 may be Tax Day, but for some, it’s the 14th of April that’s notorious. April 14th is often dubbed a "ruination day" or the worst day in history because several high-profile disasters, assassinations, and catastrophic events occurred on this date throughout history. April 14 marks the anniversary of three awful, fabled events: the assassination of President Abraham Lincoln in 1865; the Titanic striking an iceberg in 1912 (it sunk in the wee hours of the 15th); and the Black Sunday dust storm of 1935.
Hey, tomorrow may be tax day, but it could be worse, right? Let's meet up and raise a glass to better times!
As always, there is no cost to attend and no purchase necessary. Everyone is welcome and esponsible for their own food/drinks tab if you choose to eat or drink.
Hope to see you there!
